Hall construction in large dimensions

Following a fire in 2017, Schilliger Holz in Küssnacht needed a new replacement building for their panel factory, warehouse and offices. We started on variation studies for the replacement building early on. This was followed by optimisation proposals for the hall design and groundwork for the planning application. Once the contract was awarded, the timber construction for the industrial hall with a floor area of around 7,000 m2, a building volume of 90,000 m3 and facade surface area of 2,400 m2 was built within four months.

As joint general contractor, we were responsible for the entire building shell in addition to the timber construction. It was therefore our task to draw up the detailed plans of the building shell and the design statics of the supporting structure for the new building. We produced, supplied and installed the supporting structure with its 36 m long beams, the wall elements and roof components, as well as all the windows, skylights, doors, sandwich panels, roofing and Douglas fir facades.
