Continuous training and expertise are in demand. We, too, face the challenge of constantly expanding our timber expertise so that we can stay innovative and develop market-oriented solutions. Hence the Blumer Lehmann Academy: to foster the skills and potential of the people in and around our company. The Blumer Lehmann Academy brings young career starters, employees, students, partners and customers up to speed through targeted training and development opportunities.

Basic training

We train young professionals at the start of their career and support them in their professional and personal development. We also provide in-house specialist training on the job. This equips our employees with the expert knowledge they need to perform their specialist roles.

We offer the following four apprenticeships:

– Carpenter EFZ
– Timber industry specialist EFZ
– Woodworker EBA
– Logistics specialist EFZ 
– Draughtsperson ( in architecture) EFZ

Potential and career planning

We support development and career planning for our employees on their path to specialist and management careers. To that end, we promote their professional and social skills through internal and external training and further development programmes.

On our annual We Are Blumer Lehmann Day, employees from all locations meet at the Erlenhof headquarters to learn new things together across borders, locations and divisions.

Ongoing training is a priority for all employees.

The focus is also on team building and getting to know each other.

Issues that are important for the whole company are communicated and discussed.

Regular updates on key company topics, such as occupational health and safety.

Partner and customer training

Specific training, workshops and tours for students, apprentices and business partners.

Our experts provide specialist classes, students and seasoned professionals in timber construction, engineering and architecture with well-grounded knowledge of timber construction, including through customised multi-day workshops, lectures and guided tours.
