Sustainable temporary accommodation

The Grosshof asylum centre in Kriens consists of three buildings for residential, utility and administrative use and provides temporary living space for 120 young refugees. Blumer-Lehmann AG delivered the wood element construction as the full-service general contractor over a seven-month construction period.

Thanks to the high degree of prefabrication of the wood elements in our factory, the project was manufactured and assembled in a short space of time. Furthermore, prefabricated construction offers great flexibility in terms of a potential change in the subdivision of the space and repurposing going forward.

Not only does the asylum centre impress due to its flexibility and cost reliability, but the use of wood as a renewable material creates a pleasant indoor climate for the residents.
