In Frauenfeld in Thurgau, a silo facility was built with six round wooden silos, each with a volume of 200m3. The wooden silos are equipped for the storage of salt. The silos are made of larch wood and are supported on a cubic, hot-dip galvanised and duplexed steel substructure. In addition, the entire facility is automated and can be monitored via the salt manager system.
